Arne Blystad AS is the management company for the Arne Blystad Group of companies. These companies are today controlled by Mr Arne Blystad and his immediate family.

The activities of the Group are today investments within the shipping business, offshore - oilservices and energy related activities, real estate and other various investments.

Today, the shipping business is the main activity of the group and represents the continuation of the business started by Mr. Arne Blystad Sr in the late 1940s.

The ownership of the shipping assets is held through the wholly owned subsidiary in Singapore, Songa Shipping Pte Ltd, and Blystad Shipholding Inc (Oslo), while the technical management of the fleet is managed through Songa Shipmanagement Ltd. in Glasgow. The commercial management of our chemical tankers are with Navig8 Chemicals LLC, whilst our Songa Julie and Songa Chelsea is commercially managed by Frontline Mangement. Songa. The commercial dry bulk operation is done through Songa Bulk Chartering Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Songa Shipping Pte Ltd.

Furthermore, Spencer Energy AS, a company in the Blystad Group, owns 95.45% of Offshore Heavy Transport AS, a Norwegian oil service company owning and operating vessels suitable for dry transportation of offshore drilling rigs and offshore modules.
